Due to COVID -19, educational institutions experienced various challenges concerning issues in the teaching-learning process for the past two years. However, it opened opportunities for the schools leaders to initiate programs and implement innovations that are necessary in overcoming the impact of pandemic. Everyone made adjustments on the new normal way of education. Teachers were instructed to have modifications not only on their teaching approaches but also on the assessment tools used in monitoring progress of the learners. This is guided by the policies implemented by the Department of Education in reference to DO 21, s. 2019 Policy Guidelines on the K to 12 Basic Education Program.
This School Year 2022-2023, DepEd issued policies on the Calendar of Activities in accordance to the resumption of classes. DepEd Order No. 034, series of 2022 provides guidelines in the resumption of classes and the gradual introduction of in-person learning modality. Moreover, Brigada Eskwela 2022 has already started last August 1 to ensure significant mobilization of resources needed in preparation for the school opening and to intensify efforts of stakeholders in creating a safe learning environment .
