      Imus  NHS  once  again proves   being   a   Home   of Academic    Excellence    and Discipline   by   bagging   an award from a regional contest of anti-illegal drugs advocacy. DepEd  Region  IV-A CALABARZON live    streamed    on Facebook its Virtual Awarding Ceremony    of    Regional Outstanding    Learner    on    Drug Prevention    Advocacy Program    this afternoon,1:00,August 20,2020 in    collaboration    with    DepEd Youth Formation CALABARZON.

      Jaye Dar G. Talili, our student from Grade 10 Ammolite was recognized as regional awardee from SDO Imus City. Under the coaching of his Barkada Kontra Droga adviser Mrs. Digna DC. Claveria, supervision of Mrs. Gloria R. Dumaguing, Mrs. Maribel M. Luig and unending support from the principal Mr. Arturo P. Rosaroso, Jr., Talili was able to promote advocacy programs and projects in school and in the community. Info-Drive, monthly Room to Room campaign and community linkages are some of his accomplishments.

     The virtual ceremony started with the usual preliminaries and began with the inspirational message from Dr. Ruth L. Fuentes , Assistant Regional Director DepEd CALABARZON. She commended and congratulated student leaders who are doing in their own way to come up with awareness projects and programs to combat drugs which is one of the menaces of the society. " As DepEd continues to provide knowledge and education to learners, drug prevention advocacy activities will also continue to protect our youth from this menace and lower the drug statistics." , she emphasized.

     Followed by another message coming from the Coordinator of DepEd Youth Formation CALABARZON, Mr. Neil B. Evangelista , he encouraged the youths to continue and widen their drug advocacies. According to him, " Walang magandang maidudulot ang paggamit ng ipinagbabawal na gamot. Maging patuloy na ehimplo at maging mabuting mamamayan ng bansa sa pamamagitan ng pagiging MAKA-DIYOS, MAKA-KALIKASAN, MAKATAO at MAKABANSA."

     After the awarding proper, Dr. Eduarda M. Zapanta, Chief Education Support Services Division DepEd CALABARZON, ended the program by congratulating also the learners, the coaches and the school heads by sending her virtual hugs and hand shakes.

     The said competition was participated by different schools of different Schools Division Office of Region IV-A CALABARZON.
