Weather Philippines Daily Graphical Satellite Analysis from 1pm June 29 until 1pm June 30, 2019


SOUTHWEST MONSOON (HABAGAT) will continue to bring mostly cloudy to cloudy (overcast) skies with scattered to occasional light to moderate to at times heavy rain showers and thunderstorms across WESTERN AND CENTRAL LUZON including BATANES AND BABUYAN GROUP OF ISLANDS, METRO MANILA, CALABARZON, BICOL REGION, MIMAROPA, VISAYAS, SULU ARCHIPELAGO, AND THE KALAYAAN ISLAND GROUP (KIG). Winds of 30 to 50 km/hr (fresh to strong breeze) will blow, making the seas moderate to rough (2 to 4 meters) and risky for small and medium-sized sea vessels.


Meanwhile, TROPICAL DISTURBANCE (LPA) 95W has already been upgraded to TROPICAL DEPRESSION (TD) 04W. At 12:40 PM today, the center was located over the Central Philippine Sea about 815 km East of Virac, Catanduanes (near 14.4N 131.7E), with maximum sustained winds of 55 km/hr near the center, gusting up to 75 km/hr. It was moving NW @ 09 km/hr towards the North Philippine Sea. 04W is still far to directly affect any part of the country.


THE REST OF THE COUNTRY will have partly cloudy to cloudy (overcast) skies with possible isolated rain showers or thunderstorms in some areas especially in the afternoon or evening.


**Residents are advised to be on alert for possible flashfloods, landslides or lightning strikes during the occurrence of Severe Thunderstorms.
